Refuge, Transformation, and Partnership
Safety is hard to come by these days. Tensions are high, mental and emotional health are under siege like never before, everyone says they have “the answer,” and yet many are left feeling exhausted and directionless. We’ve all contributed to it — churches included. At Crossroads, we’ve experienced all of the above, and while it hasn’t always been comfortable, God has seen us through it all. That’s why we want to be a place where everyone can belong, feel safe, and search for answers.
Over the years at Crossroads, we have seen the broken and hurting (including ourselves) become whole again through the life-changing grace and power of Jesus. We believe that God loves each one of us and when we place our trust solely in Him, He heals us and makes us new.
This is the exciting part! As we are being transformed, we’re given the opportunity to be a part of something that truly matters: partnering with Jesus in sharing His message of love in our neighborhoods, serving those at the margins in our community, and standing up for justice.
SHARING & HEALING
Depression, trauma, addiction, grief, and family issues are real. We will do our part in sharing our burdens with one another and pursuing true healing together.
A JESUS LENS
Political ideologies will not make our decisions. Jesus is our only lens and authority.
NO PERFECT PEOPLE
We are a community that is encouraged to not hide behind a fake smile or think of ourselves as better than anyone else.
ASKING HARD QUESTIONS
We will not be a community that shies away from hard questions and conversations.
FREELY USING OUR GIFTS
We will be a place where both men and women can freely express and use their gifts.
We will not be a church centered around one leader. We will strive to be a church where leaders teach and empower others to lead.
